  • What is your Favorite Marriott resort and why?

Trying to find the hidden gems or favorites in the Marriott system.
So what is your favorite Marriott and why?

I've been to a few that I really liked but my favorites so far have been Marbella in Costa del Sol.
Great location in Southern Spain and great concierge services, great rooms, nice views, awesome property.

Another favorite was Boston's Custom House.
It's in the middle of Boston, it doesn't get any better and it's in a beautiful historic building.

Going to Oceana Palms this week so I'm sure I will be adding that to my favorites list but we shall see.
I didin't care for Ocean Pointe so maybe not.

    How about you?

I agree with you on Marriott Marbella Beach. It is one of the nicest Marriott's that I've been to, as well.

Marriott's Lakeshore Reserve in Orlando is really nice, too.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

I've not been to Lakeshore Reserve yet only Grande Vista which is also quite nice if you get a remodeled room.
I'm not much into golf but the grounds are beautiful. I think I'd enjoy the lazy river at Lakeshore more though.

We're looking forward to staying at Newport Beach next year.

I haven't stayed at many Marriotts yet, but I stayed at Grande Ocean in Hilton Head with my friend and loved it. Loved staying oceanfront.

I agree with you. We like the MOC on Maui as the location is to die for. Ko'olina and the Waiohai are very nice resorts too on the ocean but we also like the Palm Desert (DSV-I and II) condo project with so much space around you on a golf course and a far away view on the snow-capped mountains in the winter. We also like the location at Lake Tahoe because you can walk to the restaurants and shops and the ski lift is right next to you. How can you not like that?

We haven't been to many Marriott resorts but have a feeling that all locations are very nice. Amenities (pool and gym) are not that important to us but view is and a restaurant on location where you can sit and enjoy a drink, appetizers and/or dinner during sunset while listening to live music is also very enjoyable rather than in the condo mainly.

We have the same feeling about the non-Marriott timeshare condos too as we come for enjoying the beach and ocean or a desert scene or a beautiful city or even fresh snow and a winter scene that we miss at home.

Only been to 8 ...but best for us are Marbella Beach Resort in Spain ( home ..so biased !) Design, layout and facilities are superb and the location is perfect for touring southern Spainand Also Custom House Boston ..one of the few Marriott city locations and Boston is of course steeped in history

Sounds like you've been to some of the best ones Emmy.
I would love to see that Maui resort one day.
For Ko Olina I'll stay next door at the Disney resort for the same view.
