It's a great resort in Orlando right on International Drive, very close to Sea World and a short drive from Disney World.

Thanks Marti Great pictures. We are going next month and want to stay near the main pool. In Picture #1 what is the building number since I want to request a building that's central to everything? Also is this building newly renovated? Any other recommendations? I know the newer buildings are across the bridge but I don't think I want that location since it appears to be too far from everything else at the resort. We plan on relaxing mostly at the resort with just a couple of days doing the disney and universal parks. Any other recommendations would also be appreciated.

Photos (1) - Best Buildings - 84 - 79 - Model Units


This is our first Interval International Exchange into the Marriott Grande Vista International Drive - Avenida Way - Orlando - Florida - Phone 407-238-7676

We are staying in Building 84 - Beautiful 2 Bedroom Lock Out with 2 balconies/patios

It is a One Bedroom with King Bed - The Best Bed we have ever slept on
Jacuzzi - Master Bathroom - Living Room - Dining Room - Full Kitchen
and an adjoining Studio with King Bed & Sleep Sofa - Little Kitchen area

We have a corner unit with a great view of the pools and lake
If we had asked for this unit - we would have never gotten it

The view is fabulous and all we have to do is walk downstairs
to the beautiful pools - hot tubs - and Coca Loca Bar & Grille
For a signature Grand "Copa Loca" Virgin Pina Colada

Will be uploading the Interior Photos and will post the link soon

We had a really bad thunder storm this afternoon with 100% humidity &
heavy rains. The pools closed and everyone had to stay inside for awhile

We are across from Building 79 - where the model units are located!

If anyone is in the area - give me a call - maybe we can meet up here
or at one of the Disney Theme Parks - we have Disney Annual Passes.

I'm glad you asked because I didn't know either. I "thought" it looked like it could be Orlando, but then again, who knows.

I was hoping to stay out of the Marriott system, but each time I click on resort photos, it makes me want to own a Marriott.

And if the rumors of them having their own mini system in a few years is true, I think it might be harder to get into a Marriott!

Our stay at the Marriott Grande Vista in Orlando

After a long night at Disney`s Magic Kingdom last night
We closed down the place and left just before midnight

July 25

Got up early this morning and took a 2 hour dip in the pool
We were the only ones in the pool the first hour
and there were only twelve people total by 10:30 AM
The new pool area is beautiful & is located by the lake

Later we had a light lunch on our patio - then
Spent some time working on uploading photos
while watching them on the RCA (27") LR TV

We had a wonderful early dinner out on our
unscreened patio overlooking the pool and lake
Note: Sliders & Windows open and have screens

Menu: Fried Chicken - Mashed Potatoes - Baked Beans
From - Kentucky Fried Chicken - Central Florida Parkway

Sugar Snap Peas - Mixed Veggies
Hot Bread/Rolls with Melted Butter

Fresh Fruit Bowl from Publixs - an assortment of fresh fruits
watermelon - honeydew melon - strawberries and blue berries

Frozen Coca Cola in a Chilled Glass - Yummy and delicious
So with temps in the high 90`s and heat index over 100
We are really roughing it!

(Its great to have someone who loves to shop for dinner)

Now for an inviting warm jacuzzi in the Master Bedroom
and shower before heading out to the Disney theme park

The Marriott Grande Vista is truly a Resort Experience!

All I can say is WOW! I've been leaning towards purchasing my first timeshare and Marriott has been high on my list. This makes me want one even more.....
