  • What is TUG

Recently purchased a resale White at MDSII. In the last two weeks my wife and I have been slammed with info from Marriott and II. I was surfing the net today and thank goodness I found this site. I've read through quite a few of the threads and see there's alot to learn in order to get the best milage out of my week. In reading the posting I noticed "Tug" refered to quite often. Could someone enlighten this greenhorn? Seems there may be good additional info here. Lastly, are there any MDSII specific forums out there? I tried googling with no resuls. I thank you for your help.

The only problem with free speech is people using it.

Welcome to TS4M's. TUG AKA Timeshare Users Group has been around for about 10 or 11 years, maybe a tad longer. TUG does the same thing as this forum does...but it did it first. It's address is www.tugbbs.com/forums

Many of us who are on 4M's are also on TUG. Here there are a few more forums to go into..a wider spectrum, I think is a better word. No membership dues here, but on TUG, IF you want to join it's $15 the first year, but you are able to get into the Members Only sections, i.e. Resort Reviews.

Personally, I use both, and I like both for various reasons. Check TUG out.

        Yup!

TUG also has a specific Marriott Board as this forum does....Excellent resource as is this board...as far as I know, there is no specific Dessert Springs group but you never know - try looking in "yahoo" groups for one.

              Ken,

It is a great resort in a wonderful area if you like the desert. I think the desert is beautiful especially in the winter but we love to go in the spring when the wildflowers are out. The resort is built around a golf course and there is a big hotel resort and spa too.

              Gabe,

I hope you will be happy with your purchase. Our friends own a white week too (MDSV-I) and have only used it for making many great exchanges. They were less enthusiastic lately as the choices seem to be not as good this year as they have been in the past so they decided to use their unit twice this year after they stayed with us in March.

I have read many posts here and in the TUG forum that others make wonderful exchanges too. You just have to learn the ropes how to do it to your advantage!

With the Marriott, you can work with your personal Marriott Vacation Ownership Advisor (VOA). We were contacted once by one but I didn't catch her phone number so never called back. This is available for all Marriott owners so for re-sale buyers too. I would see if you can get in touch with someone like that because they will work with you and explain it or you can ask lots of questions here.

TUGS and this web site Timeshare Forums are the most "Trusted Web Site Name" in the timeshare industry. Knowledge is the key to happy timeshare vacations and both sites have dedicated, experience people with many, many years of timeshare experience, tradeing, exchanging and knowledge in the timeshare field.
