There is NO points option with Summit Watch bronze.
Yes, I read it in your reply above.....LOL
I was just clarifying what my original "EOY" post was about - points, not use years - I understood the purchase by Jim was every year.
Enjoy the benefits of flexchange opportunities from bronze weeks to platinum and gold through II while they last. I suspect this option (at least among Marriotts) may cease once Marriott takes over internal Marriott to Marriott exchanges.
Steve
I am considering the same option Boca took, if it is still available??
The point Steve makes is a big uncertainty. Who knows how long the flexchange opportunities will last whenever Marriott starts their internal program. If I made this purchase, I would try for flexchanges into Manor Club (golf) or taking a last second beach trip to MB/Hilton Head (even if it is a shoulder week). Another concern I have is the high maintance fees compared to Manor Club's lockoffs. But Manor Club doesn't cost $1500 out the door!

What to do!!??
Well, I've owned mine for a week and I've already broke even by exchanging for 2 - 2br units at Ko'Olina. If I donated it to charity next week, I'd be ahead of the game because I would get a tax deduction.
This is a no brainer purchase if you can use Flexchange.
By the time Marriott implements a new program, I will probably have used my Summit Watch to stay at a dozen Marriott's.
BocaBum, how did you get two weeks for the one? You are the kahuna of timeshare! l say this so often, it is becoming a cliche, but so true.
What are the MF's again?
He locked off is 2BR unit into a studio and 1BR and then traded each side into the 2BR units during 'flexchange'.....60 days before check-in....
he will have to tell you the MFs but probably between $800&900.
On Sept 25, I called Marriott to set up my account and book a week 44 Summit Watch unit through Marriott, split it for $75 and deposited both halves into II. That very day, I confirmed a 2 bedroom Ko'Olina unit for Oct 6-13 using a late deposit 1 bedroom unit.
On Sept 30, I confirmed another 2 bedroom Ko'Olina unit for Nov 24-Dec 1 using the Studio half of my late deposit week 44 bronze summit watch unit.
So, total out of pocket was $835.24 SW Bronze MF, plus $75 split, plus $89 II, plus $89 II.
That is a total of $1088.24 for 2 weeks in a 2 bedroom unit at Marriott Ko'Olina.
