  • I pass the ROFR at the Aruba Ocean Club -Finally I'm an owner!

    Hi,

I've been posting recent threads about the Ocean Club and their ROFR.
I was kind of nervous about a great deal I had.

    Received both waivers today!
I'm now the new owner of 2 weeks 1 Bedroom Platinum Oceanview
Result: Bought both weeks at 56% of the retail price!

First TS for me, Aruba here I come!

Congratulations on a fabulous purchase....many of years of enjoyment in "your new home away from home"....as another Aruban TS owner, may I be the first to say "bon bini!"
Life is short, live it with this awareness.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Wo***ee ! Congratulations, I was there last April. Actually, I stayed next door at the Marriott Surf Club, but took the T/S presentation at the Ocean Club.

          "Ya done good !"

P.S. Could/would you be able to share your price with us (after the ink dries) ? We won't tell anyone

Well done.!..can I ask what "evidence " of identity both parties had to provide? Did Marriott insist on a copy of your passport or similar?
                Best Wishes Garry

                  Hi,

Seller had to fax copy of the certificates and signature
As for me the buyer, nothing yet except my deposit check.
Presently waiting for the closing statement (maybe then?)

I'm Canadian, the seller is American and the property is in Aruba.
Will Marriott ask for passport? I will tell you soon...but I don't think so.

                    Received final closing documents.
They are requiring that both the seller and the buyer get notarized the final closing documents.
Both parties will need to produce identification to the notary.

But I think that this is required by the lawyer who processing the closing not by Marriott themselve.
