Marriott's Timber Lodge • MML vs Marriott Grand Residence Club, Lake Tahoe • MGA

I'm trying to book a week for this time next year to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary.
We got married in Reno, and I'm thinking about Tahoe.
I'd like to get some opinions on which resort to book: MGA or MML. We just need an efficiency -- just the two of us.
We're not skiiers.
Any thoughts?

You'll love either one. Assuming you are planning to exchange, put in a request for both. Getting MGA will be almost impossible, no matter how powerful the week is that you use to exchange.

If planning to pay for the week through Marriott or a private rental, I would go for MGA if you have unlimited funds; otherwise MML would be a wonderful choice.

We have never stayed at the Grand Residence but the Timber Lodge is really nice and they are right next to each other.

We've stayed at the MTL & liked it a lot. In fact I prefer the pool area to the Grand Residence -- more sun. MTL is a fairly easy trade in October/November. It comes up even with my weakest trader with II within "flex time". I'd suggest you try to get a 1 BR at MTL. It has a full kitchen & a washer/dryer. The studio side has only microwave/small frig.

I also agree. Try for a 1 bd, you'll be glad you did.

We like having a kitchen and laundry facilities.
I've seen both resorts online for the period I'm interested in, but only efficiencies.
Before I put in a request, I wanted to make sure what I was asking for. Want to go, preferably, to use the Columbus Day holiday.
