I am trying to figure out the layout of the neport coast villas in reference to good views.Would building 3300 have a good view. I am trying to figure what area to request for out summer trip. Are the lower number buildings better views or the higher numbers. Does anyone have a layout of the resort for the buildings and amentities, I would appreciate it. Thanks

The 3300 building is good; it's also near the top of the resort, up by Newport Coast drive. We've stayed in the 3500 building and, while the view was great, there was traffic noise from the above mentioned road.
I personally like the 2700 building, which is down towards the lower end of the resort, near the lower 1000-1200 block. The new buildings 3800/3900 have been reported to have good views. Also, the newer buildings below the main pool have OK views from the top floors.
Try to pick top floor on a 3 or 4 story building.....those have elevators.

We stayed in the 2700 bld last year and the 2000 bld last month. Both times had the second floor with nice views.
1. The best buildings are 3800/3900 where all floors have GREAT views. Most 2000's blg have good views (except 1st floor) and the 1000's bld generally don't have views, they look out at the trees and bushs which line the golf course.
2. There is a nice pool at the 1000 & 1100 blds (near 1200/1400 and 2600/2700) so although they don't have ocean views, the view of the pool are nice.
3. Almost all the pools are heated. (one of the three main pools isn't)
4. The views from the main pool are beyond great, but I'm not sure if there are many blds which you'd consider "near the main pool"
If you look at the last of Pat's photos which says street map, the farest bld to the lower left is 1000 then going right past all the 1000s bld to the 2000 bld then cross the street and go back with the rest of the 2000's blds (below the pool). The 3000s are above the main club-house and pools. The 3800/3900 are the newest blds and are above the park, so every units has a full ocean view.

For anyone staying at NCV, about 1/2 mile down the coast hwy is a upscale shopping center with a Trader Joes. They aren't a full service grocery but have most items including some great prices on the wines. For a full service grocery, at the very top of the hill there is a huge pavillions grocery (like safeway). Also a very nice (and cheap) italian restaurant.Bill
