Question about Shadow Ridge Promo

Marriott had a promtion in yesterday's travel section of our local newspaper. The offer is 5 days / 4 nights for $248 USD in an efficiency room at Shadow Ridge. You also get a $75 Marriott gift cert. You can't have been at a previous Marriott promo in the last year and travel has to take place within 12 months of the promo purchase. AND you don't have to go on any presentation, although you can if you want for a $100.

How good is this promo and is it worth me taking advantage of it?

It's a good promo. Marriott is hoping you will attend a sales presentation and buy. Check the terms carefully. Most such offers have language that allows Marriott to put you up in a nearby Marriott instead of the timeshare resort.

The normal methodology is that you buy the package and then call another number to make reservations. They might not have availability during some peak periods.
