hello. new to the forum. quick question for everyone. can someone please give me just a real simple rundown of pros and cons to each? i have been looking at timeshares for a few years and plan on being a dvc owner tomorrow. i looked at marriotts a few years ago when i was in maui but wasnt in the position to buy so never really looked into all the specifics. i know how the dvc system works since i've been studying it for the past week but not sure on the marriotts. the big questions i guess is price, trading power, which marriott should be considered for "home base", points/predeterminded week/floating weeks, do u own for life or certain amount of years? thanks to everyone who replies!!!!! big purchase for me tomorrow and just getting some last minute info. dont wanna kick myself in the butt!

Marriott and Disney are two very different products. I would NOT buy yet until you understand what that means.
You should NEVER use Disney for trading. You should ONLY use Disney for going to Disney resorts.
Marriott's can be used for trading. But, there may be better trading alternatives depending on your exchange aspirations. If you want to use Marriott's primarily, then buying a Marriott would be a good option. The one to buy is the key question. It varies depending on what you want to do.
