I checked in last night and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the unit we were assigned has a terrific view. I have a partial oceanview, a view of one of the interior pools and the waterfall koi pond all of which I can see from the living room sofa. I tried to post some pictures, but the Marriott internet connection won't let me do it again. I'll post a few pictures when I can. In my opinion, this is the best resort on Kauai. That is until they finish the Westin in Princeville.
I can't believe this unit cost $310.96 on an accommodation certificate. I wonder if the post card companies ever tell this side of the story?
I got $29 fares, but Go just announced $19 fares earlier this week. Couple that with the $125 weekly rate I got for an SUV and it may be cheaper to live here than anywhere on the mainland (assuming you cook your own meals. Cheaper if you like Chicken. LOL). Given what I have been able to confirm over the past 6 months, I feel pretty confident that someone could live in Hawaii all 52 weeks in timeshares. I doubt this this will last forever. It truly is the golden age of timesharing.
