  • Marriott offer for Timeshare promotion

I got a call from a Marriott rep offering $75 in rewards, and a reasonably priced 3-night stay (depending on location).

Can these deals be seen online---or do you have to be one of the 'lucky' ones that gets a call?

    Pat,

    to TS4M's

I'm not positive what you were offered, but assuming that you are referring to timeshare presentation specials, some can be seen, on line. Click 'Take An Incredable Vacation'.....

    Explore our Villa Collection

Also, I don't think that you need to be lucky, and receive a call from Marriott. If there is a timeshare that you are interested in, and would like to receive a special preview deal, I would give them a call, if you don't find it, on-line.

Feel free to ask any other questions that you may have. There are lots of people here, that will be more than happy to help you, any way that they can.

PS....If you are interested in purchasing a timeshare, DO NOT purchase it through Marriott. First, spend some time here, and learn everything that you need to know. Most likely, you will decide that buying resale, is the best option.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

      Example:
      Marriott's Newport Coast Villas

As Angela said, resist the temptation to buy developer, but sound real interested when they're trying to book you off-site (which happens on many of these deals) and that you really need to absorb the beauty of the resort during your stay to seal the deal. A visit just won't do.

Sales can't be flexible on price, but they surely can on perks and incentives, as well as when/how they book you. Our beach towel collection, MRP's and cashed-in certs are a monument to that

Good luck and be aware Marriott resorts are very seductive. The salespeople who say they sell themselves aren't far wrong.

Edited to add that, if ever staying at a Marriott hotel in the general area of a MVCI property, they should be able to set up a tour, with incentives, if you need a quick fix. Just ask the concierge.

Lucky? Maybe..They are great deals which we take advantage of at the Newport Coast Villas, but the tours and sales pitches can be exhausting...I am going to try to steer the sales rep at our next tour to cut to the chase about price and points..

Just start "enthusiastically" discussing "resale pricing" and see how fast they get you out the door.
