Marriott Newbie Owner Advice needed.

Hi ,

I purchased a Marriott timeshare recently. I have no plans to travel this year . What is my best option . Lock off and bank the points ? Or Dont lock off and bank ?

It takes more info than that to give you some advice.

Where do you own and what season?

Where are you hoping to go and when?

If you own someplace real good (like Hawaii) you can lockoff and likely get most any exchange you want in return even if you lockoff. If you own someplace less desirable and you want a high demand exchange, it may be needed to deposit the whole 2 bd to get enough trading power to get the exchange you'll want.

But, the general advice is to reserve the best week you can and then lock off and deposit ASAP. This will likely give you 3 weeks of possible exchange ( the 1 bd, the studio and an AC).
