Is Marriott becoming more accommodating?

Yesterday, I called Marriott to reserve a July week at MFV. Anyway, I was able to switch my June week, for a July, week. I had been trying for the past two weeks, unsuccessfully, so I was happy.

Anyway, they not only waived their $29.00 charge for this service, but they asked me if I had any special request......View, location, etc. I've never been asked that before when reserving a week. Is this something new? Just curious.

I think you just got someone in a good mood. A couple of months ago when I needed to change my reservation by one day I was still charged the fee.

Possibly they waived it because when u first called, they didn't have what you wanted and noted it on the account?

I guess I just got lucky!!!! I guess that I'll have to answer the survey, and give the girl that helped me all A's.

I don't remember ever being asked before, but maybe I just don't remember. I don't think I put in any special request for Aruba. I figured that I would call a couple of weeks before check-in. Maybe I'll call on Monday, and put in my request.
