  • Aruba Surf Club 3 Bedroom units question?

Going to an Aruba Surf Club 3 BR unit in mid September. Of course I would like an ocean view. I have no idea how the buildings are configured. For some insane reason I am secretly hoping that all of the 3 BR units are Ocean view. Can someone please shed some light on the percentage of 3 BR units that have an Ocean View.

They are all ocean view but all the way in the back of the building - ask for a high floor - above 5 or 6 for the best view - the lock-off part of this unit is BIG - at least 1 1/2 times as large then the usual studio with a King size (not queen) bed - but that part of the unit has an island view - the higher you are the better.
We stayed on the 7th floor in the lock-off over New Years and the island view was very nice...

What is the best way to request a higher floor? Do I call resort ahead of time? Do I have to wait until check in? The good thing is that I will actually be at the resort 3 days before I check into the 3 BR.

Call the resort and ask for room control about 10 days before check-in.

          Pat,

Thank you for the advice. Never heard of a department by the name of Room Control, but I will certainly call.

          Thanks again.

            Pat,

I called yesterday. Spoke to someone at the resort. The person I spoke to was not Room Control since they were gone for the day. This person entered my request into the system. However I was told that the day prior to my arrival Room Control will review all of the requests, and make any changes at that time. Does this sound like I am on the right track?

Yes, it does as long as they entered your request
A second call to confirm that your request is in couldn't hurt.

Enjoy your trip...those 3BR units are REALLY nice!

Bill.....Have a great time in Aruba!! I'd probably give them one more call, just to be sure.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

I will actually be at the resort 3 days prior to switching over to the 3 bedroom. So I will definitely check with the front desk before they check me into the 3 bedroom.

                  Thank You so much!
