    Introducing QOLF...

Seaview Resort & Spa has become the first resort in the U.S. to adopt QOLF, an exciting new off-course game. QOLF (pronounced KWALF), which is originally from South Africa, is a cross between golf and croquet.

QOLF features color-coded (orange, red and blue) frames that have an arch and a hole. The objective of the game is to hit a specially designed, limited flight, QOLFball through each of the frame arches with a minimum amount of strokes, based on the frames Par value. Players can earn bonus points by hitting the ball through the upper frame hole!

The game is ideal for families or beginner golfers who may not want to venture out onto Seaview’s Championship courses. QOLF provides a test of accuracy, touch and skill, and is an ideal tool for short game training as players can hone their chipping skills and hand-eye coordination.

If you're not looking to take on Seaview’s legendary golf courses, then Seaview’s QOLF Course is for you!

For more information on the QOLF Course at Seaview, please call the golf shop at 609-748-7680.

I'll just be getting back from Palm Springs on Nov. 5th. So I probably won't see you there. Too bad, it would have been fun if we were there together. We are thinking about going for a weekend sometime in November, but nothing is definite at this point. Maybe the weekend after Thanksgiving.

We always have a nice time when we're there. We like taking drives to Cape May, and the other shore towns. I also like the spa, and their Sunday Brunch. I hope you enjoy your stay!!!

Angela, how far is it to Cape May? I thought it was still a good solid drive down there.

DH will be going to the teachers' convention in Atlantic City on Thursday and Friday.

It takes about 40 minutes to Cape May. You can stop along the way both there, and back......You can stop at Ocean City one the way there, and Wildwood on the way back. Both are fun towns, and worth taking a drive to.

                      Ocean City

The seaside beach resort of Ocean City, New Jersey is more than 125 years old, yet it has been living up to its claim for generations as "America's Greatest Family Resort." Carving a niche in the ideal family vacation, Ocean City’s eight miles of pristine beaches and incomparable calendar of events combine to provide tons of fun for the whole family. When the beach day is over, the clean, well-maintained boardwalk comes alive with a family-friendly atmosphere for visitors of all ages to enjoy.

                      The Wildwoods

Always fun and exciting, the Wildwoods have lived up to their reputation as a pop-culture icon for generations. This venerable Jersey Shore institution is renowned for its 1950s “Doo-Wop” architecture, where the happy-go-lucky attitude of the 50's reigns. Families trek the two miles of boards in ultimate bliss, enjoying carnival games, souvenir shops, food stands, water parks, roller coasters and five amusement piers! Composed of North Wildwood, Wildwood and Wildwood Crest, this five-mile stretch of white ocean beaches have been voted among the best in the country by the Travel Channel.

                      Cape May Point

At New Jersey's southernmost point, the atmosphere of Cape May Point is quiet, bucolic and noncommercial. Home of the beautiful Cape May Point State Park, visitors need only travel two miles north to enjoy the dining and shopping available in Cape May City. Cape May Point is also home to one of the few remaining seacoast tower lighthouses on the Atlantic Coast. Standing tall with a 157-foot tower, the Cape May Lighthouse has guided ships along the coast and into the Delaware Bay since 1859. Like all of Cape May County, the lifestyle of year-round residents and summer visitors is closely tied to the bountiful resources and recreational opportunities offered by the ocean and bay.

Would you believe I've lived in NJ since I was a teenager and I have never managed to break the code of the Jersey shore?

Forty minutes is definitely doable to Cape May. Do you know any good places to visit there? Can you go into any of the lighthouses?

Don't know about going into the lighthouse. We have passed it, numerous times, but never attempted to go inside.

We usually hang out on the beach. Although it will be too cold, when you're there. We walk through the shopping district. It's a number of blocks with really cute shops, and restaurants. Have a nice lunch or dinner. In summer, we drive or bike through the town, to see all the old Victorian homes. There is also a bus tour to take you to see these homes. It's real cheap, a couple of dollars pp. Don't know if the kids would like that, tho.

I believe there is a calendar of events, for all three of these towns. Different things take place, different times of the year. I will try and find it.
