Just took a Marriott tour

Where are the new Marriott Ocean Palms units being built ?

Ocean Palms will be about 1 mile north of Ocean Pointe. If you know where the Hilton hotel is (the one with Coconuts on the beach restaurant) then you have a good idea where it will be. I've driven by two vacant lots but I'm not certain which one will house the new Marriott. I'll find out Thursday when we take the tour.

Right now I keep repeating to myself.....I don't need another timeshre, I don't need another timeshare, I don't need another timeshare......But I really LOVE this area and I LOVE our Ocean point unit. OK, a little more practice....I don't need another timeshare.....I don't need another timeshare.

Be my luck I see the prices, think about how Marriott generally acts with Resale and ROFR over the years and I tell the guy, "I'll take two."

I did walk north along the beach and I'm not impressed with the beach area where this new resort will be. Singer Islands beaches have taken a beating over the last few years and this area is in pretty bad shape. Seems the farther north on the island you go the worse the errosion. It's definately a downside to buying another week at the new resort. Since I believe this is a public beach Marriott may not be able to directly do anything about it either.

I guarantee it's there. On my Grande Ocean MF, the line item is "Owner Services." FWIW, it is actually $26. The Florida Club is $4 per year.

In fact, I just went over to the MVCI Grand Chateau site and looked at the MF budget. "Owner Services" is there between "Other Income" and "Pest Control." And it is $26.

In that case I don't feel so bad.

For some reason, I haven't received the hard copy of several of our MF's bills including Grand Chateau. At this point in the year I'm missing 4 out of 7 MF bills and their break down. Two of those 4 don't have a way for me to pay online. I guess next week I'm going to be making a couple of calls to find out exactly why I haven't received this most necessary paperwork in order that I can pay my fee's on time.
