....you live in Europe or out of the dollar zone.
Dollar is at its exchange weakest just now for us and points are purchased in dollars but Marriott dont distinguish value by currency

Garry.....I used Marriott points last year to stay in Rome for a week. The cost of the hotel room would have been extremely expensive had I paid American dollars for it. By using points, I cut my cost for the trip significantly. Using points is the best way to pay for a Marriott hotel, if traveling to Europe, from the US. IMO. Not so sure about the reverse.

I still think their travel package of hotel/air fair is a great deal. Currently, an even better deal than normally, due to the plummeting dollar.

I wasn't sure how it worked with you guys. You should go for it then. It's a hard deal to beat.
