  • Does anyone know if II is giving out AC's for 2009?

    I don't feel like calling II, and was wondering if any one knew what Marriott's were qualifying for AC's with their 2009 deposits? TIA

    If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

    BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

        {note: this is general info and not specific to Marriott}

        Yes, II finally has started to give AC for the 2009 deposits. But only in very limited numbers.

        Only a few of my weeks are being offered an AC, many weeks which always used to get an ACs, are still not being offered an AC.

          We traded our Marriott Newport Beach into II today, and we're told that we would receive an AC.

            Thanks guys! I guess I'll have to give them a call, and see if mine qualifies for an AC.

              I've been waiting for that AC announcement to show up on-line when I do a search. I think I'll give them a call and see what they say.

                    I thought most timeshare places already had air conditioning.

                            How do AC's work?

                            Since I'm new with all this, can someone explain how the AC's work? Does anyone with an II membership qualify? I had not heard the term before coming to this forum.
                            Thanks!

                              An AC is an accommodation certificate, that you get if you deposit a week in II, that they have a high demand for. Not all weeks will receive an AC, upon deposit.

                              AC's vary in size (1, 2 bdrms, etc.) and also vary is quality. Not all AC's will see the same things. II's quality filter is present in AC's.

                              The cost of an AC, should you choose to use it, varies depending on the size of the unit you obtain. I think they are currently $249, for a 1 bdrm, and $299, for a two bdrm.....Not sure if that is correct.
