  • 13 month Reservation?

I asked this question at Tugs last night, but did't really get an answer.

If you own two Marriott weeks at different resorts, can you book each week 13 months out?

If yes, do you need to book consecutive weeks at one location, or can you book each week at its own location?

    Thanks.....

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

In order to book 13 months out, the seasons at the resorts must overlap.

So I have a Platinum Aruba and a Gold Fairway Villas....
I can book Easter week April 7, 2007 check-in at both resorts on March 6th 2006......or I could book April 7 at Fairways and April 14 at Aruba also on March 6th 2006 Or you own 2 weeks in the same season at the same resort....you can book the same or consecutive weeks.....

You have to book the same or consecutive weeks at the resorts.....

    Does this help???

Thank you for your response. We seem to own two of the same resorts. I Have a platinum Aruba Surf Club, And a Platinum Fairway Villas.

For 5 minutes this morning I thought I understood, but now I'm confused again......

Since both of my weeks are platinum, they only seem to be overlapping for a few days at the end of April. So, I probably can't book 13 months in advance at either..... Gold in this situation is better than platinum.

But just so I am sure that I understand, if you book 13 months out, you need to be booking 2 weeks at a time, not just one. Two consecutive weeks at Aruba, or two consecutive weeks at Fairway Villas?

Thanks for putting up with me.

      PS

We haven't been to Aruba yet, we are going down in May. What is your opinion on both resorts?

You are correct...the 13 month advantage does NOT work for you......unless you want late April in Aruba and early to late April in MFV....
Youe WILL get an Accomodation Certificate if you deposit MFV from Memorial Day/Early June thru week before Labor Day with II.

I have booked 2 weeks at Fairway Villas, 1 week at Grande Vista and 1 week in Aruba at the same time....the consecutive weeks were at different resorts....
What is VERY important is that the actual "time" be the same week or consecutive weeks......but can be any combination of resorts....

LOVE aruba....going in March for a week and then 2 weeks over New Years next year......
Just got a letter - they will be starting the dock removal soon.....

Thank you....I think I finally understand. Maybe I can talk my husband into buying another timeshare that overlaps so we can reserve 13 months out......

I'm sure he is gonna be thrilled when I explain all this to him.

If I have a fixed week at one resort and a floating week at another resort, can I book 13 weeks out if I want to book the floating week at the beginning or end of my fixed week?

I am probably not the best person to answer this for you, however, I think the answer is yes, as long as the seasons overlap.

According to what I have been told, overlapping weeks is really all that matters. I don't believe there is difference because your week is fixed. You would still use the season that your fixed week is in, and see if you have any weeks that overlap with the weeks allowed in your other timeshare.

Or, hopefull, someone with a little more experience will answer you.....

Hmmmm....that is a good one....is your fixed week a 'fixed' check-in day or do you have to call to get a Fri, Sat, Sunday check-in day?

If it is totally 'fixed' - you own week 14 unit XXX and all units check-in on Saturday (think Royal Resorts) then there would be no reason for you to call Marriott to make a resie.......

But I have a friend who owns a fixed Platinum Plus week at the Aruba Surf Club....she can call 13 months out to reserve her Saturday check-in for Presidents week and reserve her floating Platinum week for the Saturday after.

                What is your situation?
