That sound to me to be the best deal yet for a platinum week in Marriott.
Graet deal....maybe the wise one will post.

While I don't disagree with the value of the Bronze week in flexchange - ultimately a Plat week will have more value.

Whatever (and whenever??) new system is implemented, people who already own will not be affected.
      JMH but educated Opinion.

And Billy, I am sure you don't mean that the 24 day Marriott to Marriott exchange preference is not worth it .... because that is one of the best parts of Marriott ownership - the wide variety of resorts and the II preference.

That's me -- the wise one . I got the EOY Shadow Ridge Platinum for $4276. But when we submitted to ROFR, we added the annual MF and the closing costs so it was $5209 that they passed. I heard last week!

If an owner with just one Marriott week wants to make a reservation at exactly 12 months out, will it be possible to still get one of the top 4 or 5 highest season weeks for II trades or will they likely be gone to those who reserved at 13 months? Are the best reservations really only available to those owning multiple weeks? (We really DON'T need another one.)
Marriott will release only 50% of their inventory for a given reservation at the 13 month mark; the other half is saved until exactly 12 months before. So, while multiple week owners have an advantage (since there are fewer of them competing for the reservations), single week owners always have a chance and the likelihood is that you will be able to get one of the high season weeks if you call weekly at exactly 9AM EST repeatedly if necessary.

I went back and corrected my language. This is what I intended to write.

I have said this before OY and I will say it again. I think this internal trading rumor thing is a bunch of CRAP!!!
