Does Marriott have anything similar to HGVC open seasons. Do they have resorts available for 30 days or less that haven't been exchanged at a discounted rate for members?

Marriott owners use II to exchange between Marriott resorts while HGVC handles HGVC to HGVC exchanges/requests internally.....
Marriott rents weeks that they get when Owners exchange for points to the public on Marriott.com
And they give some of their developer weeks to the sales department for promotional stays at the resorts and other week weeks to II for exchange and getaways......
Marriott owners can rent TS for 3 days minimum thru marriott.com at a 25% + 10%Marriott Visa = 35% owner discount rate...but this is not available at all resorts all the time.
So I guess the answer is no.....no greatly discounted last minute space for Marriott owners

I think MOST/many Marriotts have an EOY option....most inthe past several years....and now they are using it as a Marketing Strategie...owning EOY at 2 different resorts.....it actually is a NICE option....you can pm me for my Marriott salesperson's email and he can verify for you what resorts have that option.Comment

This is one feature of HGVC that I wish Marriott would do also. I personally would make use of a lot of those Open Season days and I'm sure a lot of other Marriott owners would also.Originally posted by kdorwardComment
