Ha-ha-ha. The joke's on them. If they think going with VRI is going to prevent their maint fees from going up, they have another think coming!

Which are the 'newer', Marriott 'type' constructed units?
I know Birch recently had a big assesssment and refurbishing, right???

I own at a VRI managed resort that had artificially LOW MFs of $340 for a 2BR .....now $440 and probably rising....but still one of the lowest I have of my Non-Marriott weeks....
The upside is that under Fairfield management this resort had a LOT of deferred maintanance/neglect and when VRI took over, many of these issue were addressed.

Interesting what owners are thinking in regards to what the benefits would be.

I understand that only the Evergreen building was built by Marriott.
