Jumped in early last week and booked my 2 weeks for June 2010 Then offered them to Marriott ( rents are on a first offered basis it seems ).
Is there anything to stop me now going on say Redweek and offering to rent as well ...and then take the first/best offer?
    Thanks G

    G,

I'm not sure that international properties work the same as the rental program for the US......You need to call, and check with Marriott.

Here, you put in a request for a rental offer on your week/weeks, and Marriott will tell you if they will accept your weeks, and give you a monetary offer for them, if they're accepted.

If you accept their offer, you sign the rental agreement and mail it back to them. You should get your check within 10 business days of them receiving your signed agreement.

So, once you agree to a price for your weeks, and sign the agreement, it's a done deal. You'll get your check, and Marriott worries about whether or not they get rented.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Are you waiting to hear back from Marriott? I thought Marriott will either take your weeks now or they won't - there is no longer a "list".

On Redweek, it can be a long wait in this market, and if you get a response it is up to you to handle the reservations, paperwork and money trail - at your own risk.
