  • Marriott Aruba Surf Club Unit - View

We just booked a 2BR condo from Interval International at Marriott's Aruba Surf Club - MSU for October 2009. The Unit that we were assigned is HZZZG (2 Bedrooms). Can we tell which view this is by the Unit #?

    Thanks,

    $Bill

    Hello Bill,
Go to Hotels - Vacation and hotel information from Marriott Hotels - Official Site and click on 'Upcoming reservations'
Put in your name and the 8 digit reservation number starting with an "8" that can be found on your II confirmation - this is different then your II confirmation number which I beleive is 9 digits.
When u look up the reservation this way, you will see what view and room u have.

    Welcome to TS4Ms

When I click on that link, it puts me in the Marriott website. This was booked through Interval International, and Marriott.com has no connections with that. Any other suggestions?

Oh, what little faith u have $B ... give it a try and u will see your reservation right there on the Marriott website - really!

On your II confirmation u received either in the mail or as an email attachment - is the II exchange number and the 8 digit (beginning with an 8) marriott reservation number....do u see it?

Put that number and your name in the area I mentioned above and u will see your reservation on the Marriott website indicating what type of room/reservation u have.

It takes up to 24 hours to appear on the Marriott site, then you will see the reservation. You must call it up with your name and the specific marriott number. Calling up all of your reservations won't do it. In order to do that, you must add your Marriott Rewards number to the reservation.

...which gives you credit for the stay even though it is a TS stay - something new and very nice!

Yes, very nice perk. We received credit for our 2 week stay at the Surf Club last month!

I looked throughout my reservation but couldn't find the link to add the #. Maybe because it's already tied to the account. In any event, you could always call Marriott Rewards. That's what I had to do as the link did not work (repeated error messages) and I gave up after several days. It's been reported by others of trouble linking the MVCI reservations to the Rewards number and having to call Marriott to do so.

                  This is the error message:

We experienced technical difficulties while adding your Marriott Rewards number to this reservation. Please try again later or call 1-800-MARRIOTT.

Log into your Marriott awards account thru marriott.com - then go to the screen "upcoming reservations" and on the right side of that page "find a reservation' - when u put your name and resie number in there, you should view it there and it should also add it to your 'list' - if it doesn't, call the reservation number and ask them to add your rewards number to that resie. I wouldn't draw attention to the fact that it is a resie thru II - it should just show up as a 'reservation'.

Had the same experience with my Renaissance Aruba reservation. In the past I was always able to add my Marriott rewards number but although I can see my reservation by listing confirmation number and name they no longer allow me to add rewards number. I am an owner at the Renaissance and it acknowledges everything including ownership and 1BR at ocean suites resort and rate is listed with just daily aruba occupancy tax.

When I called marriott reservations they also told me they could not add rewards number but said resort could do it at check in.

Call 1-800-MARRIOTT and they will add the MR# to your reservation. I did it a couple of weeks ago on an exchange into the Surf Club for next year. Got a newbie and he was unaware that the MR# could be tied to non-hotel ressies, and had to go to his supervisor to do so. My ressie now says I will receive credit for the stay.

We just got back from 2 weeks at the SC last month (again on an exchange) and received credit for the 2 week stay. DH is now well over the 75 days for the year and will be platinum elite again next year .

I am going there in November. However, I didn't see what type of room I have. I just saw "Bulk Deposit"

                          Should I call Marriott?
