We are going to be checking in late (3 days late) from our assigned check-in day at the Marriott Horizons @ Orlando. How much notice do I need to give them?

I call the morning I am suppose to check in and tell them...this way they can easily pull it up on the computer.

      Looks like it's a very well-liked place:

We usually call about 1 week before we arrive to let them know that we will be a day late. We also put in our "requests" such as non-smoking, etc. at the same time.

We stayed at Horizons in 2002 and our kids had a blast. It is a a very small resort but the pool area is great for the kids. The staff was very friendly and really engaged with the kids also.

        Have a great time!

We toured Horizons in Orlando and liked it so much we bought there from the developer for $17,200 for a Platinum week in 2005. Then we found out about resale and trading value and recinded , and bought at Manor Club fo $8,000.

                Riverdees05,

Glad you had a good time at Horizons. What did you think of Disney's Vero Beach resort? I think I remember you saying you had a trade there, too.

I want to get back to Vero Beach. I want to stay in one of the one bedrooms on our next visit. We had an inn room when we went and it was handicapped, so I'm anxious to try it again with a better/bigger unit.

                  Disney Vero Beach

We loved the Disney Vero Beach Resort. We had a two bedroom lock out unit. We were on the first floor, so from the porch standing up you could see the ocean. It was a short walk to the pools, beach, etc. They had many activities and my daughter and grandchildren did several. We had an II trade and felt lucky to get the two bedroom unit.

Glad you liked Disney's Vero Beach. I'm going to try to get back next May and stay in a one bedroom the next time we visit. I heard the dunes aren't as high as it used to be (since Hurricanes Jeanne and Frances). It will be interesting to see how the hurricanes changed the landscape.
