Angela, this is for a YEAR of coverage????

Do you have a link? This appears to be so much better then the II insurance that is $64 for each WEEK of vacation, not a yearly fee.

So it covers Marriott home week stay (which regular insurance doesn't cover!) as well as any II exchange, is that correct?

I have 8 home resort and II exchanges in the next year - well worth the cost for me.....does it extend to my 'travel party' as well? Or just my DH who is also on the II account with me.

Hmmm, I wonder if it is an II exchange made ONLY with your Marriott ownership?
Got to check this out - thanks Angela for posting.

        Pat,

I'm not really sure of the answers to any of your questions. I just read this this morning.....Definetly looks a lot better than II, tho. Also, I like the $4000 option.

If you sign into you Marriott Vacation Club account, you can find the details under "Owner Benefits & Specials" then "Owner Specials." Click "Protect your vacation," and scroll down.

As I am reading the website in context, it does appear to be your Marriott week - but for you who does 2-3 exchanges/home resort stays a year, it could be a good option even at the lower level $65 - as I read it.

MFs = $2100ish + Exchange fee of $297 Mar to Mar or maximum of $465ish = $2550 - even if u had to cancel or interupt 2 out of 3, the lower level would cover you.

I have the potential of 3-6 exchanges or home resort stays per year with MFs of $2,800ish + exchange fees it is also worth it - but I also need to see if it covers exchanges with guest certs issued - I would want the coverage for friends and family as well.

Angela, if it is ONLY for Marriott weeks and exchanges, the $2,000 option might be fine for you - with a potential of 2 MFs and 3 exchange fees - your total output per year is at the max $2,600 if u had to cancel all 3 trips. if you had to cancel 2 you would still have full coverage (based on using your lock-off as 2 trips - they will only give you 1/2 the MFs I suspect)

edit, there is a 10 day free trial offer - good time to chack out the paperwork.

Thanks for posting, I will definitely check it out. I wonder if it will cover flight cancellation fees?

I always get II insurance and I've had to file claims twice with II's insurance carrier due to parents' illness. Both times they paid $1000 quickly without hassle.

I was trying to figure it out. The previous plans had a one week option for ~$65 and up to 32 days of travel for ~$105. I wasn't sure if these plans were only for a single week or a year.

The way I read it is the 13 months applies to the identity theft protection.
The previous plan included anyone who traveled using your unit or an exchange with your unit.

Any updated info. on this plan?
Does it cover any trips within the year and are all travelers covered?
