  • First visit to MVCI Fairway Villas in NJ.

I have to say we are very happy here. It is so weird to see the MVCI sign greeting us at the entrance to the resort. I am not used to the fact that I have not had to fly to my MVCI destination. I am used to Aruba, SoCAL, FL and enjoying my MVCI resorts. This is the first time I have driven to a Marriott.

This place is immaculate as are all of the Marriott resorts.

Just spent the evening in AC and got tickets to Kool and the Gang at the Tropicana. What a great time we had.

They played all of their greatest hits and really burned down the house!

Glad to hear that you're having a great time. Enjoy!

If you have some spare time, take a ride to Cape May.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

We have an annual extended family vacation at MFV (for 2010 we've got 4 units booked) with ages ranging from 8 mos to 87 years. We all have fun!

Philly is also a nice drive, and a great city to visit. The concierge can give you door to door directions to the parking garage near the historical sites.

      Enjoy!

This is a great resort, within driving distance to AC, New York and Philly.

Got exactly what I wanted. Top Floor in the new building. Forest Highlands. This place still has the new car smell.

              South Jersey has cheap Gasoline

I feel like I am living in the past! I paid $2.13 a gallon on Rt 30. Unbelieveable! Last week I paid $2.89 back at home.

I just thought it was interesting that II is offering an AC for this resort for Fall 2010. It's the first time they are offering an AC for this time of year, as far as I know. 9/9 - 12/15...10 is getting an AC.

Wow, I owned 2 Gold weeks (44-52,1-14) for several years and was never offered an AC- but honestly - the fall is a GREAT time to visit this area.

Billy - the new building must be all the way around the back of the spa?
I was in Desert Springs (building 4) last new years - I think they were still building #5 Eagle something???? - but your location must be even quieter....

I really love that resort. I love the area, the Let it Ride tables....all of it. We've been there in the Summer, New Years, October, March....always have a great time.

As a matter of fact, we are supposed to go to Massanutan, VA next July 4...MFV came up recently and now I'm double booked for July 4th...guess which one I will probably cancel?

Quieter?? I don't know how even the first building could be loud. Maybe the sound of Golf Clubs hitting the balls?

The new building is directly down the street from the SPA. Sad now cause I had to come back home last night.

Well there is always next time!

Would any MFV owners or guests be able to comment on Thanksgiving week occupancy, weather (avg.), as well as their experience staying in the newest building, Forest Highlands?
Also, any reviews by those that have had Thanksgiving at the Ram's Head Inn? We had an enjoyable dinner there during our last trip to AC but not during holidays. Quality, cost, etc.?
                        Appreciate any comments. thanks.

                          Hi J-

I've never been at MFV during Thanksgiving, but I will be there with my family this year. Haven't made any dinner reservations yet, I'm going to check on what the hotel dinning room is offering. I like the Rams Head Inn for special occassions, but my children and their spouses would rather do something less formal. I may even order-in the works from somewhere.

I'm guessing the weather will be 40-50 degrees, so we plan to golf, hang at the spa, indoor pool, shops and casinos.

I usually ask for the "E" building due to its close proximity to the Elizabeth Arden Spa and indoor pool.

Have fun, maybe we'll meet each other at the info breakfast or wine tasting.

                          Maria

                            Hi Maria-
Thanks for the comments, just stopped back into TSFMS site today.
I'm not sure which building name at MFV is "E" but we were thinking of trying to reserve the newest, I believe Forest Highlands (would that be "F"?)
Yes, it would be fun to meet. Although I'm not certain what days/times the 2 events you mentioned are held at the resort. We will likely arrive late Tuesday as we will be getting my son from college on the way down to MFV.
My wife and I have 2 sons, late teens. Enjoy the trip and your holiday!

Its nice to hear good things about Fairway Villas. Have been owners there for several years and we always turn it in for points. We may need to give it a try.
