  • RHC Streamside at Vail

There seems to be several resorts within the Streamside at Vail complex. There's Steamside at Vail Douglas & Evergreen for instance. RHC just lists it as Streamside at Vail. Does anyone know if the RHC rooms are in one particular section? Also, is this a Marriott?

    Thanks,
    Amy

According to the RH rep that I spoke with, the RH contract is with Marriott so their units would be in one of the Marriott buildings. The units are based on availability at the resort and are not fixed.

I have not stayed there yet but am hoping to next ski season.

We had three units at Streamside over two weeks. Two of the units were in Aspen (VRI) and one in Birch (Marriott). The unit code on the RHC reservation will show whether the stay is in a VRI or Marriott unit. If the first letter is an A (for Aspen) or C (for Cedar), the unit is a VRI unit. The others are Marriott units.

The two Aspen units on our reservations were the actual units in which we stayed. The first was A107, a one bedroom that sleeps six. It has two queen beds in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. The unit had an updated kitchen and two bathrooms, one with a tub and the other with a shower. The living room was good sized with a wrap around sofa. The bedroom was a tight fit for the two beds. The only drawback for us was the lack of laundry facilities at Aspen. We had to use the machines at Cedar.

The other Aspen unit (A303) was a one bedroom loft that sleeps ten. There were two queen size beds in the spacious loft. There was one queen size bed and a sofa bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. This unit had three bathrooms. We had a problem with the fire place that was quickly fixed by maintenance. Both Aspen units had a mid week towel exchange and trash pick up.

The Marriott unit was in B306 (even though the reservation was for B203). This unit slept six with two queen size beds in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. This unit had a bigger bedroom and smaller living room (with only a regular sofa and not a wrap around sofa). This unit only had one bathroom. The kitchen was not as updated as the Aspen kitchen but it had flat screen TVs (Aspen units had older TVs). The Marriott unit did not offer a mid week towel exchange but it had laundry facilities in the basement.

The resort has a shuttle that provided easy access to Vail. The resort has a shared clubhouse that has a pool (we did not use it but I think it is an indoor/outdoor pool. There are also several hot tubs throughout the resort and a game room and racketball court at the clubhouse.

Overall, we all enjoyed the stay. The units were good and the skiing was excellent.
