I must say that I have been quite pleased with my RHC membership. I've only been a member since last January, but I haven't experienced too many of the problems that I had been warned about before my purchase.
The only problem I did have was that I was given inconsistent information about unit size. I had booked a Presidential at Affinia Manhattan & was told by 2 different agents that the Presidential had 2 bedrooms. The website said it was 1 bedroom. I kept calling and getting different answers from different agents. Because I was renting out the unit, it could have been a disaster. I decided to just advertise it as a one bedroom since I knew they wouldn't complain if they got something bigger.
Other than that, my experience has been great. I have only used it for stays in Manhattan, so far. I have gotten just about every date I ever wanted. I have a friend that owns in Manhattan Club. She could not get a single reservation this year. I can't imagine what she paid (from the developer)to get that kind of service. I almost feel guilty when I tell her I am going for another weekend.

Hi Spence. Glad to see you here. I have learned alot from you about Sunterra, and now RHC.
3 week ago, I won a bid at ebay - 40,000 points for $1.50. Quite excited, but don't know how long the paperwork will take.
I have tons of questions. Start with easier ones first:
1. What do you think about quality of RHC resorts. I just came back from Royal Sands for 2 weeks. In fact, on November 9, I was in Isla Mall, looking at Park Royal, which is too small and looks too dated, compared to Royal Sands. I didn't check inside though.
2. I love Sunterra because of their European destinations. RHC is appealing to me because of their overseas locations, e.g. London, Paris, Prague, Roma, Istanbul, Egypt, Rio and Mexico City. What is your experience of availability in these locations, during shoulder seasons from April to June and September to November?
Thanks a million.

Trip advisor reviews are quite positive.
I don't like the no outside food policy. I am not sure if it means no fruits, no milk, no soda and no alcohol brought from outside.
I think, from what I read on tripadvisor reviews that that is exactly what it means. I don't know how they would inforce that though. Someone suggested that if you bring in outside drinks, you should make sure you buy the same brands that are in the mini-bar so that housekeeping doesn't get suspicious.
I don't like that policy either. So, which did you think looked nicer, Park Royal or the Hyatt? It seems that you are restricted to the hotel's food no matter which one you go to.

Dear Readers,
The complaints of Royal Holiday Club, speak by themselves. There isn't much to say in regards of this company, they even have a video on youtube.com recorded by 20/20 the famous American TV show.
In conclusion if you are invited to a Royal Holiday sales presentation, don't walk away, RUN!.
