RHC - Wyndham Nassau

This is a Wyndham hotel. RHC is not associated with Wyndham timeshres. As with many of their resorts they lease a bunch of rooms, in the case of Wyndham Nassau it is about 90 although their principal tower is currently being renovated and I expect their allotment is down right now.

I was here over New Year's this year and am here again now. Going out to catch some rays after this morning's two tank dive with Stuart Cove's Dive Center www.stuartcove.com. More later this afternoon.

How is that resort? There are so many bad reviews. Being an RHC member, I could easily book there, but I've been very hesitant. I know that there are renovations going on. Will it be a great improvement?

The RHC staff here is great! Really personable. We had a great members party last night at Senor Frogs in downtown Nassau. RHC provided transportation to/from and ensured that the normal 'welcome' shots (Sex on the Beach & Kamikazes) flowed all night. Had to pay for my own meal.

They've showered me with do-dads; beach towels, ball caps, leather passport wallets, baggage tags, all emblazoned with RHC.... and I finally got my own Resort Guide, about the size of an RCI or II book.

They let me use their phone for international call to Mexico to try to straighten something out on my account; it's not toll free from here.

Spence, If you get over to Paradise Island, let me know how Festiva's resorts look over there. They are supposed to have a sales center in Nassau to snare cruise ship passengers.

I read all of those bad reviews about the Wyndham also. Glad to hear that the accommodations have improved.

What unit do you have there? It seems that there are only studios and corner suites? Would they be comfortable for a family of 4?

Don't know that I'll get over there this trip with the weather.
There are less than perfect rooms but the renovated tower is supposed to be finished in December (island time). I was given a tour this morning of renovated suites, very nice; big screen LCD TVs on the walls; brand new bathrooms (which are/were really needed).

The Studio is just a hotel room, tight for a family of four, but they will all have microwaves and fridges in the renovation. The Corner Suite is really nice!! It will have three big screen TVs. RHC rep says the hotel rents the corner for ~$800/night.



Here's a hint to anyone considering coming here... sign up for Wyndham By Request, Wyndham's frequent stay program, it is free. Present your card to the RHC rep when they go to check you in with the hotel. You'll get arrival drinks and snacks delivered to your room AND pass for entrance to the high rollers Crystal Club and Crystal Beach Club. CC has continental breakfast of FR/SA/SU and hor dourves every day 5pm, oh yeah, and open bar. CBC has private area of beach and softer chaises and hammocks, and free soft drinks.

Here's another hint, before you come if you're traveling with your laptop go to www.boingo.com on your laptop and sign up. There fee is $21.95/month and right now it's on special for $9.95/month. This gets you on wireless at the Wyndham through their WayPort which they charge $14.95/day for!!

No, but close. RHC discloses the costs as $12/room/day tax and $15/person/day resort fee. So, for your example the fee would be $72/day for your family of four to stay at this RHC resort.
