I'm here, it's very nice. Sunshine, beach, pools, timeshare sharks, great food, attentive service, only lacks internet which I've found across the street in the mall. More later, or ask any questions. My personal rep got ahold of me and sunk his teeth in.

Did you have to sign up for the All-Inclusive Package? I have an old contract and have been told that the A-I would be optional because the contract is so old (it also is only valid at the RHC Park Pyramidies) but given the usual contradictory answers that the RHC reps usually give, I would probably decline the A-I and then be told once I arrive that I would need to pay for it and it would be even more $$$ on-site.
I also have a points contract and have asked if it would be possible to combine the 2 contracts, but RHC wants a lot of money to convert the old contract. I wonder if the on-site sales rep would be more flexible?

Scuttlebutt around the pool is that the occupancy this week is 18% and 25 maids are laid off right now, lots of empty chaises around the pool plenty of empty tables at the fine dining restaurant. I move from an Ambassador Suite to a Presidential as my brother and his wife are joining me, still had a hard tme getting them to give me an ocean view versus a lagoon view.... not enough time for all the timeshares ®

Royal Holiday experience....
Hi, I have been reading the forums on here the last few days. My husband and I are Royal Holiday members and we cannot wait to get rid of the membership. Needless to say I posted in another area in forums about us making the mistake of putting our timeshare up for sale and getting NO where. So looks like we are going to have to turn this over to a lawyer to get it off our backs. We were in Cancun at the Park Royal 2 yrs ago and we both said, "Never again." Needless to say we haven't been anywhere since and now we can not longer afford to travel so we hope to somehow get rid of this timeshare. We, too, we given the sales pitch to add more points to our pkg. and we refused and from then on were given the "cold shoulder" for out entire stay. We were sooo glad to get home. We have told everyone we know to RUN in the opposite direction from anything to do with Royal Holiday Club. Now our only hope is to get this membership off our back.
