Let me say now that there are nice folks at RHC, but I swear I've never had worse customer service. Lets start with the reasons I'm nuts about these folks.

    1. Calls to RHC sometime take upto an hour just to really talk with someone.
(on hold untill hung up upon, transfered to nobody, giving my member number upto 5 times, including address, email, phone number, etc., put on hold again...hung up on....lets go through it again. ( I wasted 2 hours once just to talk with the correct person...who later quit anyway).

    2. Once I've connected with someone and we have their name and ext. #,
then I go through the whole process (hung up on, passed around, then I'm told they are at lunch, sick, or too busy to talk now). Nobody except the person I'm dealing with, can help me. Have to wait for them to be at the office, not sick, not quit, not busy.

    3. Call backs or emails. Never...and I mean NEVER has anyone called me back after saying they would, emailed me back after saying they would (until the 4th or 5th time of me bitching at least) This drives me crazy! I keep my word, why can't they EVER??

    4. I've sent a Unification form in 4 times now to 4 different people since 12/27/08. I just recently added a new rep, and she is helping me after she re-wrote the Unification contract again (#4). I'm waiting for her to quit or get sick, as they all seem to do. I pray that she stays alive!

    5. I've been trying to unify before the years dues, due Jan. 15th '09. They told me I had to pay $350 for each contact ($1050), +$1000 unification fee.
I got them to not charge for all three contracts, if I paid the unified costs for 15,000 credits ($485) and the unification fee of $1000, which I did, and the worker never submitted it, and then quit. I'm so surprised! The next rep tried to charge me again (they have my money! and the collection guys are now calling my home....this is nuts!)

    6. After writing a complaint letter to every customer service contact and directly to RHC to 4 different email address to ask for help....I recieved none, no emails, no calls, nothing! This company has not solved any of their customer service problems.

After working this hard just to take one vacation.....I need a vacation from RHC!

So I think the unification may take place, but I know that I rolled each contracts points to 2009, and I know that this will never make it to my unified contract....I'll bet on it. I asked for an email to confirm that my contracts points were rolled over....guess what, the rep said no, you don't need me to. I know I'm screwed. I think after we take this vacation (if that ever happens) we will put the points on ebay for $1 and hope someone buys it. This company doesn't get it. I think that once you have your set points and have them all in one contract, everything is fine. Dealing with them on anything other than booking a vacation, is just a waste of my time.

Perhaps I'll send this rant to RHC so no one can give me a reply.

I couldn't have said it better! My experiences exactly! Anytime I have found a rep to help me they have left also. I was really getting a complex.... thought it was something about me!

Well.....still don't have this resolved. The last lady I was working with, got in a car accident, and was gone for 10 days. Man, the things that happen with RHC are amazing. I have a new rep, and after re-faxing my unification sheet to them (3 times just to be safe), I thought I was on the way once again.

Surprise! the unification sheet I had didn't have the correct sales price on it. I changed it, 7 days go by, sales price is again wrong, and back to legal it goes after I sign it. I'm waiting again for legal, and I believe my rep is a good one. Now I pray that he is not fired, quits, get into a car wreck or just dissapears. We've already conceded that we are not going to Cozumel this year, but I just want to get this finished, heck I'm all payed up!

NOTE: My current rep does email me like he says, and answers my emails. After 4 months I have a good rep.....not going to share his name until this is finished..

After 4.5 months this unification is completed. Whew! What a pain.

We have all our rolled over points in one account with all fees paid in full.

We have booked Cozumel in July and will be frying in the sun. All I can say is it does finally happen, but you can't give up....which I did a few times.

The rep I discussed has now left RHC, and now onto the next temporary RHC employee I will go. We really love the hotel in Cozumel and the Royal suite the takes two years of points for....worth it.

        Chris.

I'm trying to get my second unification initiated now (first was 2008) and keep getting mixed signals depending on the rep I get.

This unification will result in a contract greater than 200,000 points. Which some rep's say is the limit, while others have told me 500,000 ($6450 MF) is the limit.

Anyone else been dealing with unifications lately?

http://www.timeshareforums.com/forum...es-rhc-mfs.jpg comes from their list in the operating rules and tops out at 200K but I have seen lists at the sales table that go up to numbers like you have mentioned.

Spence, I thought from some of your postings I read in years past that you have/had an account greater than 200,000 points.

              Am I mistaken?

You are not mistaken, but that wasn't your question.

I'm glad to know that the Royal accounts can be larger than the table from their published materials (wouldn't it be nice if their web-site contained up to date pertinent data).

Given that the top destinations run 80-85K points for a holiday week, it certainly wouldn't make sense to have a 200K point account limit.

                    Rhc

Have been trying to get two Royal contracts unified but have been unable because of an RHC policy that prevents unifications that would produce contracts greater than 200,000 points.

Of course, if I bought some points direct from RHC they would make an exception and allow the unification of these contracts into a new (> 200,000 point) contract reflecting all the combined points.

Spence is this how you created your larger accounts?

From what I understand there WAS a time over 200,000 point contracts were allowed, but that was changed.

I have again seen lists for MFs that top out with point totals of over 1M.

I'm thinking about picking up RHC membership on Ebay and am trying to find out the maintenance fee with the various levels of points membership, the minimum level of points you need to make it worthwhile, and what it costs to combine memberships. I've looked on their website and made several calls to them and have found no sign of intelligent life - no one has been able to answer these questions and their website has very little info. A link to get more info on the website didn't work.

This, plus all of the comments on this forum is an indication why so many people are trying to give these memberships away.

I cannot book some stuff online at all. Calling the rep can see more than what it can see online.. The website sucks..
