How do you know how many units they have?

I visited Paridise Beach Villas in Aruba during my recent trip.
They described RHC as a 'tenant' which to me meant they had 'rented' a certain number of units from the resort.

My question is - if my goal was to get 2 winter weeks a year at PBVs, how do I know RHC would have those units?
By purchasing at the 'gold' level, I can reserve 18 months out - does RHC have 20 1BR units every week there or 2?

I have the same question about Allen House or other London location....how do you know?

I found out how many rooms they contract for at Affinia Dumont in NYC by booking every room that showed up online when it showed up on line. The answer was two Studios and two 1BRs. At Domus whatever in Rome I did the same thing they have one 1BR and one Studio!

18months.... you'll find out that that doesn't help one bit unless you want their A-I Mexico resorts. The reason is that most of the time the contracts aren't let and the inventory isn't loaded until way less than 12months out so when it gets loaded everyone can get it.

I love my points but it's a lot of work to keep RHC straight.

I've been to Aruba once had a RCI points reservation that got cancelled after I had airfare, but that's another story. Booked HI Sunspree Resort for $1200 all inclusive for 2adults 2kids, wow. Saw signs about for Royal Holiday so the office there is a chance to sell, I don't know how many units they have but I am positive that it's more than Italy or NYC.

How many people usually travel with you? and how many BD you want? 30,000 will be enough for 1BD spleep 4 people 1 wk in most of the cases. But you can look at each of their resorts you want visit most to determine if it work or not.

The biggest benefit to own 60k is your MF actually is less than the double of MF of 30k. 30k is lowest ratio in 18 month reservation period. 40k and 50K is actually higher MF per point than 30k. But if you only want 1~2 wk from them or even a few short trip stay from them, 60k will be too much.

As Spence say, most of their unit, it probably meaningless to have more than12 month reservation period if just for the purpose of make reservation.

Usually when I saw something like affliate resort, I assume it is less than 5 unit in any system. I don't have Spence's points and will not try to reserve all the unit to figure how many it will be, so that is the best number I will use. Otherwise, you can go to thir on-line system, and try to check each reservation period to see how many unit is there.

So far, I think I usually see 3 to 4 units.

More is better for several reasons, JN hits on one of them.

As with most online systems (except Vacation International) you can see how many different type units may be available but you don't know whether there is one or fifty sitting there for the taking.

3 St and 3 1BR each/every week would be the answer, I've never 'tested' it like I did Affinia Dumont as the rates at Manhattan are 50% more than Dumont, I can't afford it.
