  • My First Reservation with RHC: Domus Romana

5 months after the closing, I have not received or heard anything from RHC. Just wondering where my money has gone and losing my patience, I called RHC.

The 1-800 number is somewhat user friendly, though the automated voice is far from sweet. There is a new member section. The first rep (Henry) listened to my concern for less than 1 minute, before the second (Louis) helped to resolve my concerns. Both are not customer friendly but perform their duties diligently, efficiently and effectively to "get rid" of my call. Louis confirmed my membership #, my account status (nothing outstanding), set up my online access and email me the password.

Log on is easy. The upper portion of the screen says both annual balance due and loan balance due are zero. Should I trust them? Time will tell.

Search is painfully slow. Lots of locations cannot be booked online, e.g. Bali, Istanbul and Egypt. Good availability can be found in Mexico, Puerto Ricco, Paris, Costa Del Sol, Madrid and UK. No London, New York or San Francisco for October or November.

There are quite a number of weeks in Rome, but nothing in Florence.

Now, I have 40,000 points to spend. Hmmmm. How about Domus Romana in Rome for a week? Ok - Done!!!!! It costs me 37999 points, so I still have 2001 left to be saved for next year.

A similar link and a file with a more complete set of MF rates has always been in the sticky at the top of this forum.

In my opinion there are more advantageous reservations to be made if you're making them for deposit. Less points same pizazz.

I'm going to Domus on 5Jul! I believe that there are only TWO units there, A studio and the one you got.
