My only experience with an all-inclusive resort was over twenty years ago in the Poconos.

How do you rate the all-inclusive portion of your stay at RHC resorts? Is it better at some resorts than others? And what else is included besides food?

The only RHC A-I resort I have had the opportunity to enjoy was last November in Cancun at Park Royal Cancun. I loved it and so did my picky sister-in-law. Buffet food was great and changed constantly and al la carte restaurant was super. Drinks all day and food by the pool and non-motorized water sports.

I can give you the experiences from Punta Cana. Staying in less expensive resorts, at least the ones I have stayed in the past; the food has been from so-so to okay. The place we currently stay in and have stayed in for the last 4-5 trips has awesome food. The price for the AI is $85pp/day. Lots of choices, mostly a la carte restaurants in the evening...buffets in the morning. They also have the best fruit juice I have ever tasted.

The place we stayed in Cabo was optional, but you could get a 3 day minimum AI. That was okay..we wound up going out to eat a lot of the time.

Some AI's exclude certain things so research what the AI covers. The ones I am referring to above includes everything...premium liquor, steak, lobster, etc.

I have seen some AI's where there is a surcharge for those items mentioned above.

Big differance from back in those days in the Pocconos. Not even close/ The AI back then was just the main meals no drinks and the food was just above burger king. I can still taste those so called Pasta dishs.

Another All-Inclusive Question

Does RHC charge for all-inclusives based on the oocupancy of the unit or the size of the unit. For example, if my wife and I went to an all-inclusive resort, would we have to pay for more than two people if we stayed in a larger unit (studio versus 1 bedroom versus 2 bedroom)?
