The RHC M/F has been increasing each year. The 7 day bonus time deals is not great since they are at all inclusive resorts.
Traveling Broadens the mind and I want to do more French Quarter Fest in New Orleans is my favourite festival

What good is a bonus to a place I am not interested in going? A bonus to one of the areas I have used RHC for makes more sense to me. But of course I am not making up the rules here. (Isn't that obvious!)

Is anyone going to use the "free" week provided by RHC? The restriction of no prime weeks does not seem to be too bad as it only includes 5 weeks.

Does anyone have a favorite Park Royal resort that they can recomend? Also, does anyone know if the units are limited to studios or are larger units available?

          Thanks.

          Sam

I'm in the middle of closing a weeks membership. Closing is scheduled for tomorrow. I'm wondering how I should handle it. Should I alert the closing agent about the notice of SA? I'm guessing RHC will look to me for payment in full of the assessment, even though I didn't own the week for 2007 & 2008 and didn't receive the notice. Do you think I should copy the notice posted here and send it to the closing agent?

Someone OY said that when they've given bonus weeks in the past, the AI fee was higher than it normally is. So really it is completely worthless. Before you book it, make sure you know what the fee is. Don't assume it will be the usual $60 ppd.

Pat, yes, they were super fast. Received my contract within 24 hours and closing docs within a week with a letter saying my closing is scheduled for 10/16/08.

I think they will limit you, but don't have any experience except with a certificate that I have for unlimited AI weeks for 5 years. They charge 33% more for the AI and I cannot get anything but the Studio, but I can put two in a studio then reserve another for same time period with one or two occupants.

I'd tell the closing agent now, but chances are you will pay or you will be allowed to cancel?

I sent off my signed paperwork today to close an ebay sale of 30K points at RHC. The agent for the ebay store wrote me today that "After speaking to the resort, this is a 2009 special assessment. Per your contract, you are responsible for the 2009 fees. Please let me know if you have any additional questions."

So I just pointed him to Spence's letter and that other forum's thread. Might this be a misinformed rep at RHC giving out misinformation? Would any of you consider this just cause for negative feedback on ebay?

                            Steve,

Have you spoken with the closing company? They are supposed to be nuetral. I would think you have grounds for not going through with the sale, if that is what you wanted to do.

Consider we got notice on 10-9-08, I think it just an unfortuantely event. I don't believe seller will know inadvance. If you really don't want go through that deal, I think you should talk to the seller, and back it out.
