  • RHC - Guarantee Rental System

So, this guy calls me out of the blue and tries to explain his program. He says RHC has given him my info and he knew my contract#, full name, full address, phone#, #points, and when my last 'upgrade' was. He knew the RHC rules quite well. During his spiel he also got on the line with RHC-Linda Adams x76002 who confirmed my annual MFs (and I got to overhear his end of the conversation).

GRS works with a travel agency who books for events. Somehow, when I send GRS three years worth of MFs, RHC lets GRS accelerate three years worth of points off the back end of my contract and gives them a week for each 10,000 points. GRS then through hocus pocus, trades my points to some entity/entities to get what they need to give to the travel agency to rent. I get $1100 for every $147.29 I pay in MFs for these accelerated reservations. I have a lot of points, I stand to get paid $79,200.00.

This guy was smooth, with answers for everything, so all I have to do is provide GRS with my credit card authorization for the three years of MFs. I don't pay RHC, I pay them, and that is what's listed on the form below as the advertising fee, that enables me not to have to pay taxes because of some workaround in the IRS rules...

Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't really out to get you...

Have you reported this to RHC?

      Wow, 10k in Ad fee.
And $1100 guarantee money if the week rented out

They must fear you take all the great week from them. So they want you to reserve all the April 5 to April 11 week, is there a National Holiday there?

Doesn't RHC has its own rental program?

Royal Holiday Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) > All-Inclusive

      • What is the Rent Sure Program about?

It is a unique vacation rental system, solidly backed by the industry, that allows you to rent out your Holiday credits when you don’t use them, and make money in the process.

If you acquired a Royal Holiday Gold Plus Membership of 30,000 Holiday credits or more, and you opted for the Rent Sure program, you are entitled to rent out up to two blocks of 15,000 Holiday credits each vacation period.

To be a part of this program is very simple. All you have to do is:

1.- Enroll in the Rent Sure Program, with an option to renew it every year for the 30 years of your membership.
2.- Let us know in the month of July how many 15,000 Holiday credits blocks you wish to rent out. You have from January to June to decide.
3.- Earn $500 USD for each 15,000 Holiday credits block you rent out.

April 5 - 11, 2009 is HOLY WEEK - traditionally the busiest week for Mexican resorts. American College students want to come AND Mexicans want to come the week BEFORE Easter. When Easter is earlier and Holy Week is in March there is even more demand because it is still too cold in Canada & the U.S.

Easter week is NOT as busy as Holy Week. But "Holiday Weeks" for resorts like Mayan include Holy week, Easter, Christmas and New Year's week.

No, it's just called an ad fee so that you don't have to pay income tax, jejejejeje. It's the maintenance fees they want you to send them, and no you can't pay to RHC yourself or they won't be able to use the points, yeah right. Sure RHC has the feeble Rent Sure and no, RHC did not give these guys my info, some employee obviously sold them a list. For that 10K fee I'll get how much money?

Doesn't look like they care to pursue it.

Typical with timesharing - if the scam doesn't hurt your company- don't be bothered with it.

Well I'm sure they wouldn't want to get sued over improper/illegal use of members' account information by their employee(s)...

Sounds like RHC has a security leak or their system has been hacked! One more piece of our RHC peace of mind disappears again!

I doubt it was a 'hack,' more than likely an employee sold out.

I agree. Inside job explains how the guy knew so much about the system.

                            RHC Rental Program

Has anyone actually tried to rent a place with a set of 15, 000 points? Does RHC really guarantee that they will rent something for $500 - or only that you will get $500 if they actually do rent it. I know what it says but I am guessing there is fine print with qualifications somewhere.
