I'm new on here and I really enjoyed my RHC. I bought a bronze package 5 years ago. I read up a bit and thought I'd add 10000 pointsto my 5000, and go somewhere every two years with the family.

Well I bought two 5000 points contracts off ebay for almost nothing, now RHC wants $1000 to unify the three contracts. I'm just paid my special assessment for the three contracts ($360) and now I get 3 bills for each contract totaling around $1100. Funny how they only bill the assessment at total points value and the yearly dues for each contract.

Anyway, now it seems that they will not unify unless I come up with another $1000, anyone have any ideas on what to do? I'm really close to dumping these contracts for nothing, or just not paying.

Bronze contracts aren't worth anything. If you'd read the unification post in the stickies, you'd know that the $500 fee for each 'joining' is pretty much standard, no way out. Three contracts equals two joinings, until you join them you will be billed separately at the higher rate/pt for smaller contracts. You'll probably save the $1000 in the very next year you pay fees, although a 15,000 point contract is not much better in my opinion. And when you join them the end date will match the end date of the shortest contract.

Look at the club due at stick of this forum "RHC Operation Rules" http://www.timeshareforums.com/forum...ing-rules.html and this coming year's due http://www.timeshareforums.com/forum...-club-due.html

You will pay 1,115 for 2009 club due to 1 10,000 credit and 2 5,000 credit. If you consolidate them, you will pay 560 for 20,000 credit.

Not sure, but I will consolidate them together as earlier as I can when I decide to add any points.

15000 credits works fine for me, as we go in June, every two years.

The people I bought from said that adding additional points to my contract was not a problem. I was not aware of this and a few other web sites at that time......so it looks like I'm stuck.

15K certainly can work but even at that level the $/yr is not cheap. The bigger the contract the more reasonable the annual fee. You should already know that everything is a problem with RHC, you really have to work to get the value, but if you do, it can be very nice. A week in NYC costs me $360 in MF/pt required (not counting latest assessment .)

We are thinking of just dumping the credits we have now.(if we can)

The only benifit for staying with this company is a nice hotel suite. That is just a bit of an upgrade for mostly paying the same amount spread out over time. If we see another storm and more economic woes, more assessments are expected $$. I'd guess that fuel going down is not going to bring a refund our way.
