  • Another Unification Question

I know. I am a glutton for punishment.

I tried to add another contract to my account at the end of last year (2008). I was not successful. My contracts were unified early in 2009.

I prepaid the 2009 annual fee for my larger contract during July 2008 so that I could make 2009 reservations. I made reservations using almost all of my 2009 points during 2008. I did not prepay the 2009 annual fee for the smaller contract since I was hoping to pay the fee after the contracts were unified.

Since the unification was not completed in 2008, I expected that I would need to pay the 2009 annual fee for the smaller contract and pay the increase in fees from 2008 to 2009 for the larger contract. Instead, I was given my choice of the following options: (1) pay the entire 2009 annual fee for the unified account and receive the full years points allotment (and I would keep my pre-existing 2009 reservations) or (2) pay nothing and the unified point contract would go into effect starting 2010. I called a second RHC representative and he confirmed the above options.

Has this happened to any of you? Should I keep calling RHC? I am concerned that I am not being given the correct options and that it will affect my current reservations.

    Thanks for your help.

I took their offer. They are a goofy bunch but they have great places. I think your reservations will be fine. Mine are
