  • Wow! RHC resort with Atlatis priveledges!!

Comfort Suites Paradise Island is now an RHC resort. This resort has priveledges at Atlantis!! So far, I haven't seen that they have added any inventory, but it comes up on the resort guide. I am so excited!

I had noticed that, too, but there has never been any availability showing as you point out. The points are time and a half what they are for Wyndham Nassau where you got hit with all those extra taxes and fees of about $43/day for a couple.

There is also no availability showing for Wyndham Nassau for 2010. Are they going to renew that contract where they have a big sales floor or are they moving??

      COMFORT SUITES PARADISE ISLAND
The hotel’s ideal location offers the advantage of being close to the white sandy beaches and turquoise sea, and to the impressive tourist complex “Atlantis” where guests of Comfort Suites Paradise Island can use the entertaining and sophisticated facilities such as the private beach, the aquatic parks and the aquarium among others. Comfort Suites is a first-class hotel offering 228 spacious suites with living room, sofa bed and mini bar. Guests can rest in the comfortable common areas of the hotel after a full day of activities on the island.

      NEAREST AIRPORT
      Lynden Pindling International Airport

      TRANSPORTATION
Just steps from the hotel guests can find “aquatic taxis” which can take them on a tour of the island to take advantage of the wide variety of restaurants and duty-free shops available.

        RHC in the Bahamas..

A RHC rep said since they lost their affiliation at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, they have been instructed to try and get owners inventoried at that location to accept a re-designation to either the Crystal Palace or the Comfort Suites.

I'm guessing (at least hoping) that they feel pretty good about extending that affiliation agreement..

So maybe there's no 2010 inventory at either until they sort out all their prior Sheraton bookings?

'that' means Wyndham Nassau? Crystal palace name went away long ago. They certainly are well set up there.

            Even stranger...

I just had an owner call (he has an upcoming reservation in a few weeks at Wyndham Nassau/Crystal Palace) and he stated that he was just told that "unexpected" refurbishments now required the Wyndham to be closed down and that all reservations are now being moved to the Comfort Suites until refurbishments are completed???? He was offered the Atlantis access privileges as compensation for the reservation change..

I hope the Comfort Suites is one big resort- or that their July bookings were few enough that they have room for everyone..

There have been a lot of ongoing renovations in towers that RHC has leased in the Wyndham nassau, sounds like they are having problems.

Comfort Suites Paradise Island is no longer showing as a resort on the RHC website. I guess it was too good to be true.

It's still available but the costs are high, only about 20K points for a week but an upfront charge of $45/room/night for 'breakfast' and the following PER PERSON PER NIGHT charges at checkout:
                  Govt Tax $17
                  Housekeeping $4.50
                  Energy Surcharge $9.95
For a 4day stay I was looking at all of the above comes to $552 CASH
Comfort Suites rents it for $1017
So, your MFs for your 20K points are how much???

How did you find this out? When I go online I don't see it at all. But you are right. Those fees are a lot. The breakfast is only a continental. It doesn't make sense to charge for that per room. It should be per person. The other charges, such as the tax & housekeeping would make more sense to charge per room. If you stayed with a family of 4, you would spend almost 40 bucks per night for the energy surcharge which is crazy.

because I asked. Knowing that there is something like a $17 per room tax and $15 per person 'resort fee' at the Wyndham Nassau PER NIGHT, I asked the pointed question.

We strayed at the Comfort Inn s3veral years ago when we went to a friend's wedding. It was much cheaper than staying at Atlantis yet very close it. Our room was okay and we spent most of our time at Atlantis with other wedding goers. Not sure if I would want to spend more than a few days there. Our room was a very basic room with minimal space.
