Currently, reservations can be
confirmed 365 days prior to arrival.
This is an instant confirmation
and the inventory is taken from
availability. If your request is not
available, you can then request
to be placed on the waitlist.
Beginning March 10, 2009, VI
Members will have a new option, in
which your reservation request can be
placed on the Advance Reservation
Waitlist up to 390 days in advance.
For a fee ($200), you will be able
to request a specific resort and
unit size with both the arrival and
departure dates falling within the
390 day window. These requests
will be processed in the order they
were received and matched against
the available inventory at 365 days.
Owners will be notified if the request
is confirmed. If the request could
not be confirmed at 365 days, it
will remain on the waitlist for no
additional fee and will continue
to be matched against inventory
from cancelled reservations.
This new program will level the
playing field for people who take
shorter vacations, since not everyone
will be trying to put their request
in on the same date and for those
requesting highly desired units that
are booked as soon as availability
comes online. Revenue from the
fee ($200) will go to your operating
fund budget offsetting higher costs.
