  • VI - TimeShareWare Transition

You may have noticed we are now
    using the new TimeShareWare
(TSW) software system at all of
    the VI-managed resorts in the
U.S. This gives VI better control
    over the processes for check-in
and requesting service, as well as
    documentation about maintenance
    performed on the units.

The final phase for moving all
of our data and systems to TSW
is now underway. When this is
done you can expect to see some
    changes in the VI Program.

    • No more maid points
    • The Timebank will be replaced by a simpler system of saving and borrowing
    • Online reservations will be available for Instant Exchange and Nightly Exchange, as well as VI resorts
    • No limit on Waitlist requests
    • Redesigned confirmations and statements

As a result of the new system, we
have also had to change some of our
fee structures. Although you will no
longer need to buy additional maid
points, there will be a reservation
    booking fee
    . We encourage you to
help keep our call center costs down
    by making your reservations online.
Our goals are to simplify the VI
Program, make it easier for you
    to use, and reduce administrative
    expenses. We anticipate completion
of this phase by Fall 2009.
    More fees.

    VI Insiders Tip
    October 7, 2009

Our new computer system, TimeShareWare (TSW) is coming... and training is well under way here at the Corporate Office.

VI Insiders TipOver the next several weeks our staff will be training on the new TSW system, set to go live November 1st. During this time we appreciate your patience as the wait to speak with an agent may be longer than expected. Please remember we are open until 7PM Monday through Friday. VI Insiders Tip

As always we encourage you to use our online services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can review your account online, check your point status, availability, and make your reservation request at Vacation Internationale.

    Notice: Effective November 1, 2009:

Finance charges will be assessed at the end of each month on ALL unpaid charges (assessment payments and reservation charges). Any reservation charges on your November statement not paid by the end of November will be included with the finance charge calculated for the assessment and appear on your December statement. Payments received after the due date will be subject to a $10 late fee.

New software system and computer platform

      Vacation internationale
      october 21, 2009
      dear vi member:
Vacation lnternationale is moving forward with a conversion to our new software system and computer platform. On november 1st, owner services and accounting will begin use of the new software. This necessitates changes to the vi program that will go into effect november 1,2009.

You will receive a vi guide explaining all the changes, which is also online at viresorts.com. In this letter, we will highlight a few changes and encourage you to contact owner services at 800.444.6633 to answer specific questions about your account.

You will no longer be required to use or rent maid points. Instead, rhere will be a $20 non-refundable booking fee collected and paid with a credit card at the time you make a reservation and each time you change a reservation. If you have a reservation with maid point charges for travel after november 1 st, that was booked before november 1 st, you will not be billed nor owe these charges. If you change that reservation before travel, you will be subject to a non-refundable booking fee.

You have greater flexibility with borrowing and saving your vi points - the time bank will be eliminated. If you have points in the time bank, they will be transferred over to our new system with the same useful life as they currently hold.

If you need to cancel a reservation and it falls within the cancellation policy, your vi points used to make the reservation will go back to where they originated, so there is no penalty to use future vi points.

You are able to waidist as many requests as you like for free. When a match occurs, you will pay the $20 non*refundable booking fee to confirm the reservation. If you decline your match, you are subject to a $20 decline fee.

Currently some items having to do with your individual reservations, like transient accommodation tax and point rentals are billed on your account after your return from vacation. At vi managed resorts, these items,
as of november 1st, will be charged when you check-in.

On your account, interest charges and late tees will extend to all unpaid balances, not just operating fund charges.

We anticipate new functionality to our website that will roll out in the 1st quarter of 2010. This will include the ability to book and confirm reservations online for vi resorts, nightly exchange resorts and instant exchange resorts. During the interim, our website will be limited, but owners will still be able to request reservations and make payments online.

We are excited about the changes and know that you will agree that our new software system and computer platform allows us to simplify our policies and offer greater services to our valued vi members.

      Sincerely,
      vacation internationale

        Spence,

        Thanks for posting.

When I made reservations shortly before the change, I was told that points that would expire on 12/31/09 could be extended for $1 per point to be used until about October 2010. (I don't have my notes handy.) Do you know if this policy has also changed.

We needed to change a reservation made before the change and Owner Services has not been willing to respond or accept our cc number by email even though we have told them we are on a cruise ship without access to a telephone.

The check in date is Dec 12, 2009 and we want to change it to December 20, 2009 for a studio in Fairway Villas in Oahu, Hawaii. Do you know of any exchange companies that will accept a deposit for a late deposit with a Saturday December 12 check in?

        Thanks
