No. There are no deeds in VI. It is, and always has been, a points-based trust operation. VI is also owner-controlled. There is no developer pulling the strings or stacking the board of directors.

Actually, there are different types of VI ownership. I have one contract that is an allotted number of points based on a Pono Kai ownership. I do not pretend to know how it works, but some of the older ownerships are not simply part of their trust.

Yes, until the last few years most VI ownership was sold as a 30 year plan, so many are coming due and VI is selling that to the current member and/or anyone else willing to buy. VI MFs are not cheap.
