  • Sedona Springs: "1/2 hour informational meeting"

Heading for Sedona tomorrow (8/4)...and received a phone call last night (at 10:30pm Eastern time), re: scheduling "1/2 hour informational meeting re: VRI". In other words, sounds like a "timeshare sales pitch". I was a bit flustered, considering the late hour.....and agreed to a meeting time near the end of our stay. However, after thinking it over...and getting a good nights sleep....I emailed the agent, stating that if the meeting is in anyway related to purchasing TS weeks, points, etc., we are notinterested. (I'm guessing it is, since both husband and wife are to attend).

If it is truly just to get our opinion on the resort itself; I would gladly attend...assuming the meeting time fits into our schedule. Can anyone either confirm if this type of "Meeting" is simply a pitch for TS sales...or as stated by the agent, simply an "opinion survey" re: VRI & Sedona Springs?

Deb - C'mon, you know the answer to this question. There's better things to do with your time unless they're paying you for it, I get paid for my opinions in many forums, but I don't think they really want your opinion. Tell them to leave you a questionnaire or give you a link to their online questionnaire.
... not enough time for all the timeshares ®

That's what I put in my email to the agent...."I'd be more than happy to respond to any written survey' or express my opinions to various members of the Sedona Springs staff".
They did offer a $25 VISA gift card for my time....but somehow, I think the 1/2 hour would stretch into an hour or more. You're right...better things to do w/ my time.
