MROP Renting and VRI Renting

I always knew one could rent a unit gained from the MROP annual scheduling.

With the change from ORE to VRI today I had a couple of questions and called VRI.

I asked if I submitted the MROP unit to the VRI exchange pool and received a week in exchange could I rent that week myself.

To my surprise the answer was yes. I'm unfamiliar with VRI, is that a correct answer.?

I don't know that anyone can answer, because prior to this there wasn't a VRI exchange pool.

I've rented a few weeks from the original ORE exchange system. It was never a problem. I think that since you can give the weeks you get from the ORE exchange system to II or RCI, renting them would not be much different - in all cases, you are giving the week to someone else for personal gain.

In addition, in the past you ask ORE to rent an exchanged week for you. VRI is now setting up a program for renting out the weeks and you can still give them an exchanged week to put into the rental pool. Good luck with your annual scheduling!
