A consent judgment has been entered in the latest litigation involving Sea Ranch II, whereby the HOA board resigns, VRI bows out of management, and for the next three years the resort is run by a 5 member board composed of 1 member nominated by the developer, 1 member elected by the homeowners, and 3 ''professional directors'' with no prior connection to Sea Ranch II appointed by the judge. Ballots have just gone out to homeowners to elect their 1 board member.
During its time at Sea Ranch II, VRI got the resort dually affiliated to RCI and was pushing to go into RCI Points.
One of the big issues in the case was some of the things VRI did to get the present pro-VRI board of the HOA elected.
The new board will select who will go in as the new management of the resort.
