  • Comparing WM Contracts

I am looking at 2 contracts. One is for 5K, the other is 6K credits. I think I'd be happier doing the 5K to get the lower fees and then renting credits from other members. My thinking is that I will never be overwhelmed or over financially committed that way.

    Here are the contracts:

    Number of annual credits: 5000
    . Anniversary date: September
. Number of points available (w/o borrowing): 5000 as of Sept 1
. Number of points available to borrow: 5000
. Loan balance: (if any) n/a
. Assumable loan (if applicable): n/a
    . Asking price and/or best offer: $2300 + $299 wm transfer fee

    Number of annual credits:6,000
    . Anniversary date:April
    . Number of points available (w/o borrowing):0
. Number of points available to borrow:6,000
. Dues are $152.05 per quarter and are Paid until October 1st
    . Loan balance: (if any)NONE
    . Assumable loan (if applicable):N/A
    . Asking price: $2,100 + $299 Transfer Fee

Any feedback on those? I did email the 5K one and he said he is splitting his 10K contract in half, so the process would take several weeks longer than a normal resale. Oh, and both say or best off for the price. So, feedback regarding that is helpful, too.

It is pretty easy to buy points from companies like the Time Share Angels on ebay. With a 6000 point membership you also get a housekeeping token every year. These cost $75.00 . The 5000 point membership might not include this. Also, Wyndham will not let resale contracts bought in recent years to have South Pacific inventory available.

You might try looking for a 7000 point membership as the MF is the same as the 6000 point membership and the resale cost is about the same.

I just noticed how old the op was. Wow, that was a ways back.
