Do you have to be a member of II to get Worldmark resorts? I know you buy points and I just am not sure how the whole booking of resorts work.

No, when you buy a WorldMark account, you get a certain number of credits that you can use to book accommodations directly for WorldMark resorts. You can book full weeks, partial weeks (if less then 2 months from checkin) or more than full weeks subject to reservation rules and numbers of credits you have available in your account. You book them either directly with Trendwest over the phone or through your online account.

If you want to exchange through II, you sign up for an II account and link your WorldMark credits to it. That happens automatically when you sign up and you tell them you are a WorldMark owner. Then, you can use your II account to exchange for other II resorts using their online interface or over the phone. II has a great search first interface, so you actually do not need to deposit credits before making an exchange.

WorldMark has its own internal reservations system that can be used to reserve units in any of its 60+ resorts. The system is mostly user friendly.
