  • Where do I buy extra points for my WM account?

I used to use Seth Nock in NY, but he has no WM points at the moment.

I buy them from Jeff Fudge. You can find him on eBay. The eBay prices are the market price. Or you can buy from Redseason as well. Timeshare Angels is also a good company.

Here is a link to Jeff Fudge's website:

      http://www.resort-property.com/

The list price for WM points is 80% of the number of points. 6,000 pts, listed for $4800.

They also sell Fairfield points and other point systems.

All the people which have been recommended are good. That said "why buy more points when you can rent them for much cheaper?"

There have been several discussions here and on TUG about renting WM instead of buying.

          Bill,

Very good point (no pun intended)

Trendwest will soon be implementing some limits on rental credits. I think the board already voted on one limit. I think it was 3 times the number of annual credits per year or something like that.

They haven't implemented it yet. So, renting is still good. When it happens, it may reduce the price for rental credits since demand should also be reduced.

              Boca,

Would this be rental from WM directly or will it limit the amount of rented points from one WM owner to another?

In Fairfield, currently there is no limit of renting and transferring points from one FF owner to another.

Can you rent WM credits from II or RCI if you don't have enough credits for your trade transaction?

I think the board was persuaded NOT to implement the credit transfer limit originally agreed. That's great for owners. No limit to credit rentals at this time.

I think the new rule is that you just cannot use rented credits to book reservations to rent for profit. This is a good outcome for owners.

Actually, it's not easy to rent it either. Most of the deal was grasped quickly.
