  • WorldMark Pismo Beach

We arrived yesterday in Pismo Beach after spending a wonderful week in Sedona. We stayed at the Fairfield Sedona Resort and loved it there. We had a chance to meet with Katiemack and her husband. That was a great get together. We had breakfast at the Coffee Pot, which I would highly recommend.

Pismo Beach is FANTASTIC. It was nice to arrive where the temperature is 72 degrees after spending time in the desert where it often times reached 110 or more. What makes this place special to us is that the area does not seem to be overcrowded like it is in southern and northern california. Central california was always what we passed through to get between southern and northern california. Now, I know there is much more here.

We are staying in the WorldMark Pismo Beach. This is a little gem of a find for us. I had read that the units were small. I would say that they easily accommodate 4. We did get two units due to the occupany limit of 4.

We were lucky. There are only a few units with Oceanviews. We got two of them on the second floor. I love it here. I could spend a month here on the beach. I might do that the year after next since we already have our plans for summer 2008 set.

The WorldMark Pismo Beach is called the Beachcomber. And, check in is handled by the hotel next door which is The Sea Venture resort. We had dinner there last night and it had beautiful views of the ocean and sunset and great menu to boot. I would highly recommend eating there.

If you want a nice quiet beach on the pacific ocean, this is the place for you.

Thanks Boca. We like Pismo Beach too. We have reservations there for Thanksgiving.

Please check out Avila Beach, and Avila Valley Barn (just slightly west of the intersection of 101 and Avila Beach Road.) I am sure your clan would love the farm, their pies and fresh food! Just an awesome place.

Don't forget to pick up an Olallieberry pie!! YUMMMMMMMMMM!!!

Last year, during Memorial Day weekend, we stayed here, and visited other WorldMark owners (friends) who were staying at WorldMark Solvang. We picked up one of these pies on our way to visiting them. They still talk about it being one of the best pies they ever had!

We love Pismo Beach as well. We've stayed at the Sea Venture, and also the place next door. One of our favorites for dinner is Steamers a few years ago we ate at a German restaurant in Shell Beach. Some friends have a vacation home in Shell Beach and they took us there.

That place is something! They have all the good stuff! I can't wait to go back there.

BTW, they are only open from Memorial Day until Labor Day! (or is that Halloween?)

I have never been to WorldMark Pismo Beach. Guess I'll try to make a reservation there now. How far is Pismo Beach from Cal Poly? My son is thinking about visiting that campus this fall.

I'd say it's about 10-15 miles from Pismo Beach to Cal Poly San Luis Obisbo.

We have been to Pismo a lot.
The Splash Cafe has great Clam Chowder.
Brad's has pretty good grilled fish.
Pismo Fish and Chips a short walk is good.
The bar at the Sea Venture is a great place to have a drink and enjoy the view.
Giussipes has outstanding Italian Food and I always get fish there. They also deliver very good pizza.

We stayed here many years ago and long before we knew about timesharing. All I remember is that it was a very long stretch of beach which was beautiful and peaceful. I am happy to read that it hasn't changed yet.

Lucky for you to have ocean view units too. It makes such a difference unless you are never "home" but still nice to see the ocean when you wake up early in the morning.

Couple of pictures from WM Pismo Beach resort

Here are couple of pictures from the Pismo Beach resort. The best units at this resort are 201 and 210. Those are the end units on the second floor. They have the best view of the ocean.

View from Unit 210 (and 209)

Here is the Spa. It is smaller than the one at Solvang. (Note, Pismo Beach resort does not have a pool!) The only BBQ for the 20 WM units is located next to the spa.

Pismo Beach and the Pier. Seaventure/ WorldMark Pismo Beach is the greenish building at far right.

We got PIE!!!! Thanks to Kapish, my wife went to Avila Valley Barn and got a couple of pies. She got the Cherry Cobbler for me and she got the Peach Crisp for herself. Mmm, mmm, goooood.

I've already eaten half my pie. It will be gone before dark. I guess it's going to be fresh corn, artichokes and pie for dinner tonight.

We had lunch at Tio Albertos. Wow, that was good Mexican food. Great homemade salsa and corn tortillas. I had the Chile Verde. My wife had chicken taquitos and a beef enchilada.
